Poem topics range from depression, eating disorders, living with OCD, managing medication, surviving sexual violence and finding a voice in a world that so often leaves us feeling like we have to be quiet. The recipes in the book span levels of difficulty and include banana bread, soft pretzels and rainbow bagels, among others. All poems are illustrated by members of the Bake it Till You Make it community.
