So when a family approaches him about a potential case of demonic possession, Pastor Ed jumps at the chance and begins his journey to stardom. Gain a genuine understanding of Catholic teachings on the Bible and demonic possession.
Most Catholics don't know the answers to these questionsI know what it's like to not know your faith - that feeling of dread when someone asks us questions about our religion that we don't know the answers to. Instinctively, we understand that we should know, but religious books can seem dull and hard to understand, so we shy away from them.
At least, I know I did, but one thing that I never shied away from was the paranormal: movies, TV shows, documentaries, and books. Whatever I could get my hands on. I'm not going to bore you with my 'come to Jesus' moment, but I will say this. Over the last couple of years, I've devoured religious books and boy am I grateful for it. My one regret is not having picked up a religious book sooner. So, here is the paranormal novel that I wish someone had written when I was younger. It's scary, it's based on what the Church teaches on demonic possession, and Catholic theology is blended into the story in a natural, non-overbearing manner.
Does this sound familiar? As a Catholic, I know you are the kind of person who wants to be well-versed in the Bible. In order to do that, you need to read the Bible, join a Bible study group, and read Bible study books. The problem is that sometimes we don't have the time for a Bible study group. Without the guidance of a priest or a study group, the Bible is really difficult to understand not to mention that it's long, and we simply don't know where to start. So many different denominations of Christianity all claim to be based on the Bible, yet they all contradict each other - who do you listen to or trust? It makes sense that you feel confused
and discouraged.
