The Septuagint (or "LXX" ) is the Greek version of the Old Testament. This translation of the Septuagint was written by Sir Lancelot C. L. Brenton and published in 1851. It was based on the Codex Vaticanus, one of the oldest surviving manuscripts of the Greek Bible.
