Through their adventures they bonded during the construction of an epic fort. They also enjoyed football, video games, fishing and swimming pool escapades along the way. By the end of the summer, they discover girls are actually pretty cool. It was written to encourage activity and stimulate the imagination to seek a world beyond smartphones and gaming. The 12 year old characters in the book do mention the words "farts" "boobies" "pee" and "poop". If these words are unknown or offensive to the child reading the book, it's not for them.
