While inside Calverton National Cemetery, attending his own funeral, Jack sees the odd behavior of four people in the vast field of headstones; he now believes that his wife may be in danger. This group of the deceased is composed of all medically terminal military personnel.

One evening as Jack's wife Ellen sleeps inside their home, an intruder enters and draws Jack inside. The intruder, Paul Jennings, is seeking to find the rest of his experimental group that has gone missing and the person responsible for their condition, Dr. Phillipe Sixto. However, there is a link between the group of the deceased and a coalition comprised of elected government officials, entrepreneur billionaires, and doctors. The coalition harvested the group for an unknown mission and is now seeking them out by any means necessary.
