All chapters except the last include a good number of short musical examples for the student to work on in these various areas of technique. The book is A4 page size so as to make the examples easily readable if the book is put onto the piano music-rest. The British-born author had a very long career as a highly respected teacher in Australia, latterly at The University of Melbourne, and also as a very successful concert pianist.
