Dave Hooper has been interested in aircraft models since his father introduced him to the hobby when he was small. He has specialized in building World War I models for over twenty years and has won many awards and trophies including Golds at the UK Nationals. He has also written numerous articles and reviews for a variety of publications including Scale Aircraft Modelling, Scale Aviation Modeller International, Windsock International, IPMS Magazine, Model Aircraft Monthly and Scale Models International. In 2015 he won the Bob Downey Memorial award for the best article published in the IPMS magazine for that year.
