BOOK ONE IN THE LAND OF TWILIGHT TRILOGY
Sam and Lorna's bike race becomes far more than a neighborhood competition in this action-adventure fantasy.
Avid sixth-grade mountain biker, Lorna Wilson, moves to Arizona with her mom and baby brother, leaving her dad behind.
Riding over a cairn at sunset, Lorna surfaces in Twilight, where she is given three impossible tasks to complete before her heart's desire is granted. With celtic-Jamaican threads weaving through this tall and unusual tale of a time between times and a land between reality and fiction, Lorna creates a new life and a new aim for herself.
Splashing in the pool at Ally's house, Lorna learns about the bike challenge created by a scar-faced neighborhood legend, Samuel Black. She hears herself boasting that she can take on Sam Black in his own bike challenge and win. Lorna's words quickly come back to bite her.
When he appears at her front door, she challenges the scar-faced champion to his own bike race.
Although none of the kids will root for the new girl, an ancient cairn opens to the Land of Twilight giving Lorna an opportunity to win anything her heart desires.
Illustrations are by award-winning artist, Brianna Osaseri. GET THIS SERIES!

This soulful book of personal poetry brought me into the past and into the present---and into my heart.
Read the first book and this 2nd one did not disappoint! Loved every chapter. More please!

Received an Advanced Reader Copy from a friend. I am an avid true crime reader and upon completion I question if the author is credible. The timeline does not add up for his age and the times of his alleged involvement in organized crime. Some of the things in the book he is alleged to have said and done I remember almost word for word from movies I had previously watched. He literally stole a scene from the movie the accountant with Ben Affleck and said that he did it. I did a little research after completing the book and learned that this author was also claiming in 2010 that he was a long time member of the Bloods Gang. That coupled with the above leads me to believe that it is nothing more than fantasy. Do not waste your time or money

What a difficult story to tell. I appreciate the honesty and vulnerability. Definitely made me think.
