Julie Logan has a Bachelor of Education (Special Ed. and Primary Music), a Master of Early Childhood Education (Research) and the Australian Certificate of Kod疝y Music Education.
Julie's has been strongly influenced by her work with Clive and Carol Robbins (Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy), and she has pursued her love of studying music and child development, completing the Music Together Course 0-5 years (with founders, Levinowitz and Guilmartin, Princeton, USA) and First Steps in Music 0-5 years (with John Feierabend in Sydney).
Having seen the massive benefits of music in special education and primary classrooms in the '80s and '90s, Julie focussed on bringing sequential music programs to young children from birth through to primary/elementary schools. She has lectured in music education at the University of Newcastle, taught in the University of Newcastle Early Intervention service, and as Head of the Early Childhood Music program at the Newcastle Conservatorium
In 2002, she established Julie Logan Music, a Kod疝y-based program, which she directed until 2022. With 40 years teaching experience, Julie is a passionate advocate for inspiring parents and educators towards building the quality of music education for all children. Julie continues to lecture for the Kod疝y Australia Certificate courses in Sydney, and as a consultant, mentoring early childhood and primary/elementary educators.
Julie has published original research in academic journals, presenting papers at national and international conferences.
She is the proud recipient of the Outstanding Professional Service Award NSW and was made Honorary Life Member of Kod疝y Australia for her service to music education.

Julie Logan is a specialist in early childhood music education. Master of Early Childhood Education, B.Ed (Primary Music), Dip T (Special Ed), Australian Certificate of Kod疝y Music Education and Honorary Life Member of Kod疝y Australia.
She has extensive experience in designing and implementing music programs for children from birth, including early intervention services, long day care, preschool, primary (elementary), the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music and for twenty years, her successful "Julie Logan Music" school, which continues to serve hundreds of Newcastle families.
Julie is an experienced tertiary educator (University of Newcastle, accredited Kod疝y Australia lecturer, TAFE NSW) and provides mentoring and professional development support. Julie has published research papers and presented at national and international conferences.
