Susan Breier's desire to sew resurfaced after an early retirement. The colors and the various textures of fabrics had fascinated her since childhood. Hand stitched doll clothes, embroidery work, beading, knitting and weaving, all paved the way to using a sewing machine. As an adult, classes in garment and drapery construction filled her extra time. Later, quilt making left many usable scraps and a large fabric stash.
