Bach composed his "Italian Concerto" (originally titled "Concerto in the Italian Style") for harpsichord in 1734 in Leipzig. A year later it was published in Nuremberg together with the "French Overture" (originally titled "Overture in the French Style") as the second part of Clavier bung.
