Baroness Angela Van Wright Von Berger currently resides in the Principality of Monaco and the United Arab Emirates and has been active in humanitarian and goodwill activities since 1994. She has served on several boards and was a founding member of: The Friends of Louis Frosio, The Friends of the Opera Enchanted Flute Circle, Outward Bound Monaco, Tsunami Relief 2005 Monaco - Asia, Les Volutes Ladies Cigar Club, The Ladies Lunch Association, The Friends of the New National Museum of Monaco, IEFTA (International Ethiopian Emerging Film Talents), Monaco HUMANITAIRE 2008, CREM (Club Resident Etrangers Monaco), Arty Ecology, and Eco Art International. Among her other activities, she served from 1999- 2002 as President of the FriendSHIP Association for the University of Monaco, and as a one term board member for Mission Enfance as well as Monaco Aide and Presence. Her sphere of interests also includes APPO (Aide for Pere Pedro Opeka), The Red Cross of Monaco, The Princess Grace Foundation, The Special Olympics of Monaco, Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy, The Watershed ( supplying drinking water) and AMADE International (World Association of Children's Friends). Born in Baltimore Maryland, Angela La Verne Meredith Van Wright grew up in Winston-Salem North Carolina and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media and Journalism from Hampton University (Virginia) in 1972. She had an early career as a television news reporter for WVEC-TV in Virginia and was the first Afro-American female news reporter in Virginia. She then worked as Production Assistant for The Children's Television Workshop in New York City which produced Sesame Street and the Electric Company (pioneering educational programs for children in the 1970s). In !983 She married Baron Giuseppe Andrea Von Berger and divorced in 1991. She has dedicated much of her energy towards aiding children around the globe. For the benefit of Mission Enfance in 2007, she published the celebrity cookbook In the Kitchen with Stars 1st Edition and now in 2016 the 2nd edition to benefit UnaKids and The Watershed. She published Monte Carlo Rhapsody (50 years of Music by Maestro Louis Frosio) for the friends of Louis Frosio along with a CD compilation of his music. In August 2014, she began working as Secretary General and Goodwill Ambassador on behalf of UnaKids and is currently serving as President of UnaKids and Vice President of The Watershed.
