She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management, and numerous credits towards a Doctorate degree in Business Administration. She started her company from the bottom up, as a way to combine her love of business, with her love of family and cooking. Her love of cooking started when she was just 11 years old, reading her grandmother's cookbooks. She learned all of the basics from those cookbooks and decided to put her own spin on many of the recipes. Eventually, she developed her own recipes, which she would use to cook up delicious meals for her family and friends. Her passion for cooking grew even more when she got married and had children.
