About the Author: Miah Pluta was born in Omaha, Nebraska. She wrote "Hamsters on the Run" when she was just 4 years old. One of Miah's poems was published Highlights when she was 5. She had a pet hammie named Buttercup, plus two Guinea pigs (Gloria and Daisy) and Coco the chocolate lab. She now is studying to be a nurse! About the Illustrator: Jessica Ling Findley is an artist, teacher, designer, illustrator and was also born in Omaha. She and Miah's mother, Stephanie, met at summer camp and had tons of fun being silly kids. Jessica now lives in Encinitas, California. She has no pets, but sometimes dolphins surf in her backyard.
