Marcella Peyre-Ferry is well know in Southeastern Pennsylvania as a regular correspondent for The Daily Local News and Lancaster Intelligencer.. She is also familiar to readers nationwide as a writer for equestrian magazines including Saddle and Bridle, Driving Digest, and Pennsylvania Equestrian. In her first book - Getting Past the Guilt - When a Loved One has Alzheimer's Dementia, she shared her experiences as the care giver for her father, aunt and mother as they went through the mental changes that accompany increasing dementia. For her second book - Getting Through the Stuff - a Loved one Leaves Behind, Peyre-Ferry again shares her own experiences, this time helping readers cope with the emotional and tangible challenges that go along with disposing of a loved one's belongings. Peyre-Ferry is a Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, and long time horseman as well as writer. She lives in Oxford, PA, with husband, two sons, and an assortment of horses and cats. In her free time she participates in Civil War era dance demonstrations with the Victorian Dance Ensemble, and attends many Renaissance and Medieval Fairs with her son David - a professional sword swallower. She can also be found making artisan jewelry and showing model horses.
