Raylyn bent her knees so she was on Heidi's eye level. She smiled at her child, zipped the coat and said, "Yes, Honey, we're going to see Grandma Isabel. I don't think you remember her, but she's a special lady. You'll love her, I know, and she already loves you."

Roger was in his office. He'd never heard those voices before. One was a child's, but the other was a young woman's. Isabel and her company had arrived. He walked into the auditorium with a smile. In the dim light, he saw the new lady and couldn't look away. Her face was lovely, he figured she'd fit perfectly into the circle of his arm. Clemens, get a grip She has a child; therefore, there's a husband somewhere. He swallowed and finally croaked out, "Hello, I'm Roger Clemens, the preacher."
