A race called the Astari, benevolent beings with their genesis in Earth's software, befriends the classmates and attempts to protect them. The friends band together with the Astari as they vow to stop their enemy. Either that or they risk certain death.

Along the way, these companions witness remarkable wonders but also face adversity and overwhelming sadness. Ultimately, they rekindle a friendship and a love that may change them forever. In the process, they alter the course of civilization.
