Find the Best Gifts for Dad
A desolate landscape. A found colony. A boy without a past.
Who is Ren Arlo?
Anikka has survived her first six months on Daybreak and made the harsh planet her home. She even has BB again, the integrated AI who doesn't remember trying to kill her at all. But just surviving isn't enough anymore. Anikka made a promise that she would find the other colonists and keep them alive through Daybreak's energy storm.
She and BB set off to find the missing colony, heading into parts of Daybreak they've never explored before. But when they finally find them, they aren't as lively as she and BB had hoped. Anikka can revive exactly one of them, and she picks Dr. Carver, the one who has the best chance to help her save the others. Except the labels were wrong. Now she's stuck with Ren Arlo, an electronics tech who has no idea where Dr. Carver is. Or does he? He must have been in Dr. Carver's place for a reason, even if he can't remember it. Anikka races to find out why Ren is important and if he can help her save the others before the next energy storm breaks them all.

This soulful book of personal poetry brought me into the past and into the present---and into my heart.
Read the first book and this 2nd one did not disappoint! Loved every chapter. More please!

Received an Advanced Reader Copy from a friend. I am an avid true crime reader and upon completion I question if the author is credible. The timeline does not add up for his age and the times of his alleged involvement in organized crime. Some of the things in the book he is alleged to have said and done I remember almost word for word from movies I had previously watched. He literally stole a scene from the movie the accountant with Ben Affleck and said that he did it. I did a little research after completing the book and learned that this author was also claiming in 2010 that he was a long time member of the Bloods Gang. That coupled with the above leads me to believe that it is nothing more than fantasy. Do not waste your time or money

What a difficult story to tell. I appreciate the honesty and vulnerability. Definitely made me think.
