Bobby the Snake and the Broken TV is an endearing and entertaining tale about a highly sensitive snake who learns to recharge through nature, movement, and taking a deep breath. This wonderful addition to The Big Feelings Friends series provides children with an important reminder to get off the screens (iPad, TV, video games) and play outside!
One Sunday morning, Bobby the Snake wakes up on the wrong side of the bed. He can't pinpoint why he feels cranky and unsettled - is it the bright morning light, his uncomfortable pajama pants, or the blaring sound of his alarm clock? One thing he knows for sure is that he is feeling some pretty BIG feelings and wants to spend the morning watching TV! But Mom and Dad have other plans - they encourage Bobby to recharge through nature, suggesting they go for a family bike ride or a hike.
When Bobby discovers that his beloved TV is broken, he becomes overwhelmed and throws a tantrum that "rattles the trees." After taking some deep breaths, Bobby agrees to play outside and winds up having a wonderful day recharging in the fresh air and sunshine. To Bobby's surprise, the sights and sounds of nature allow him to self-regulate, cheer up, and reconnect with his Mom. He even exclaims that "nature is as neat as Netflix!"
Was the broken TV part of Mom and Dad's plan all along? Find out in a day in the life of Bobby the Snake!
