I am 43 year old Puerto Rican-American, residing in New York City with a college degree in Sociology. "A History of Traditional Eastern Religions from India to Japan" is my second book publication. I was always interested in social phenomenon. It's fascinating analyzing the social-historical processes to understand how it evolved. Social change is a specialty among sociologists and historians. Writing the current book gave me the oppurtunity to learn history of religion from the non-Western world. Religions from the East and Far East have been more than avenues of worship, they have been philosophies as well. Being intrigued by social theory as well, allows me to have a keen sense during the intellectual journey through sophisticated principles of Buddhism or Confucianism. At the heart of this historical survey is the attempt to understand the complexity of culture. I invite you, the reader, to join me in this endeavor in attempting to understand the minds other than our own. As students of life, we may even understand something about ourselves.
