Though neighborhood public schools were once the given route, today's education system is bursting with options-so much so that it can be hard to navigate. 7 Easy Steps to Take Charge of Your Child's K-12 Education: A Parent's Guide provides parents with the information they need to help their children gain access to the best education available.
Author Beverley B. Geltner, PhD, worked as an educator for over forty years and now serves as a consultant for administrators and parents. Her inside perspective and diverse expertise has given her valuable insight into the world of education-and parents' roles in it.
Dr. Geltner's guide offers parents seven steps, separated into three sections: awareness, knowledge, and action. Her goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive an excellent education and have a chance at a successful future-and she knows from experience that parents are the key.
Written for parents of kindergarteners through high school students, Geltner's book is also helpful for soon-to-be parents, grandparents, and educators.
Don't take your child's education for granted: learn how you can advocate for your child's future starting now.
