10 Cookbooks That Everyone Should Own

A great cookbook includes tried-and-true recipes, stunning photography, and inspiring and intriguing writing. Some books, however, are much more than that.
As White Rain House Book, we have compiled a list of essential cooking books for the modern home cook as well as candidates who want to keep up with current kitchen trends. We chose these books as a non-repetitive list of ten must-haves.

The Simple Comforts Step-by-Step Instant Pot Cookbook

Delicious recipes with variations to suit your lifestyle, from keto to vegan, from best-selling author and blogger Jeffrey Eisner. The book also includes recipes ranging from French Onion Risotto to New York Pastrami, as well as a section with only 7 or fewer ingredients.

Nom Nom Paleo: Let's Go! (Volume 3)

Keto-friendly Whole30 and plant-based recipes from the creators of the New York Times bestselling series Nom Nom Paleo are included in this book filled with inspiration from many international cuisines. By having fun in the kitchen and following the illustrated step-by-step instructions, you will quickly become the cook of your home. Nom Nom Paleo: Let's Get Started! will inspire you with delicious food whether you're cooking for yourself or preparing a family dinner for a special evening.

Gullah Geechee Home Cooking: Recipes from the Matriarch of Edisto Island

It is the first Gullah Geechee cookbook to include delicious recipes from the unique selection book "The Chief of Edisto Island" as well as the history of an underserved American community. Gullah food is rich and flavorful, with lighter recipes than other types of Southern cooking. Heirloom rice plays an important role in their recipes for regional delicacies like freshly caught seafood, local game, and vegetables. This cookbook contains not only delicious and easy-to-follow recipes, but also snippets from the Meggett family's history on Edisto Island, which dates back to the 19th century.

Skinnytaste Air Fryer Dinners

Heather K. Jones, a registered dietitian, provides nutritional information for each recipe, as well as informative icons for diverse diets (such as gluten-free and vegetarian). 75 quick-prep air fryer recipes promise hearty dinners, saving you the trouble of deciding what to eat today. Gina's signature "low in calories, great in taste" motto is followed when creating recipes.

Milk Street: The World in a Skillet

Readers will find 125 different cookbooks that reveal a world of delicious possibilities in a 12-inch wide skillet, the most popular in America. It has been divided into sections with cooking times (an hour or less, 45 minutes, and less than 30 minutes) and side dishes, pastas, cereals, and stir-fries to make it easier for you to find the recipe you need.

Cravings: All Together: Recipes to Love: A Cookbook

This special edition of Cravings is brought to you by Chrissy Teigen and co-author Adeena Sussman. Adeena is filled with warm, comforting recipes that you can enjoy with your family and loved ones that she wrote while living in the COVID quarantine with her family. Classic dishes are given a whole new spin in this cookbook.

Food IQ: 100 Questions, Answers, and Recipes to Raise Your Cooking Smarts

Food IQ includes recipes and instructions for a variety of dishes that use a wide range of ingredients and methods, as well as 100 essential cooking questions and answers. Holzman and Rodbard cover the fundamentals of cooking that every home cook should know. For example, in this meticulously prepared cookbook, we are constantly reminded of why pasta is always better in a restaurant than at home. It answers about a hundred questions.

Cooking with Plant-Based Meat: 75 Satisfying Recipes Using Next-Generation Meat Alternatives

For today's non-meat eaters, this is a must-have guide to cooking with new plant-based meats. It actually contains all of the satisfying, long-lasting recipes you desire. Today's meat substitutes, such as Impossible Burger and Beyond Meat, which can be found in grocery stores and fast food restaurants, accurately mimic the taste and texture of meat. These modern meat imitators produce a juicy, salty, meaty flavor, making it an excellent choice for those looking for sustainable meatless recipes.

Preserving by the Pint

McClellan's recipes incorporate the flavors of delectable preserves like Blueberry Maple Jam and Mustard Rhubarb Chutney. Pesto sauces, chutneys, butter, jams, jellies, and pickles are all seasonally recommended pesto sauces. It's also ideal for seasoned canners looking to spice up their seasonal canning list with new flavor combinations. One of my favorite aspects of their recipes is that the portions are organized by season. This feature also makes it simple to navigate and read the book.

Ovenly: Sweet and Salty Recipes from New York's Most Creative Bakery

If you live in New York, you're probably familiar with Ovenly, Erin Patinkin, and Agatha Kulaga's Brooklyn bakery. A well-crafted bakery cookbook, plenty of cookies, cakes, and brunchy treats to keep you happy; Bloody Mary Scones; it is meeting with you for those who want to try Muffin Bread Pudding recipes. While it is a nice addition to the shelves of trick-bakers, it is also an inspiration for new tastes.
